Desamuduru - My Movie

Desamuduru

I liked Allu Arjun style of action and comedy in Arya, Bunny and Happy. But after bitter experiences I had with the recent releases of old fashioned narration and overdosed sentiment and violence, I was scared to watch movies. But the confidence I have in Bunny and Poori made me to go for this movie. First I have to say after Chiranjeevi garu Bunny is the one who has potential to shake the box office with his legs (Ummmm! with his dances). He is amazing in dances and rocked at sky level. The youthful music by Chakri adds to the effect and five songs stand out as best with rocking dances by Bunny.

Poori knows how to hit the right chord? Even in POKIRI the story was not new but his presentation and narration style made the magic. In Desamuduru he targeted the youth and family audiences and it worked. And sure Allu Arjun stylish performance, dances, comedy and freshness in the romance thread picturized in Manali will bring the multiplex and youth audience repeatedly to theatre.

Bunny has given his best in this movie. Poori Jagan manages to dish up pleasant fare, flavoring the film with enough ingredients that suits the taste of the audience. The story is wafer thin, but the Allu Arjun outstanding performance with his style of action, his dialogue delivery, Jagan’s racy presentation and dialogues penned by him make you to glue to the screen. The beauty of Kulu-Manali is aesthetically canned and the film visuals take you to beautiful world of Manali. Hats off to Syam K Naidu.

There is not a single moment of boredom in the movie and sure audience will not blink their eyes till end. I don’t like heavy dosed violent movies and when I saw posters of Allu Arjun with sword and blood I thought it will be violent movie. But soon I realized that it is the trick hero played to cheat the villain gang. Oh! big relief!. Ali did wonderful comedy with good timing and it is a big plus to the movie.

All the way it is Bunny..Bunny..Bunny..Bunny..Bunny..Bunny..Bunny!!!
The happiest thing in this movie is it doesn’t make you cry except entertaining the audience utmost. No doubt Poori magic worked again. Like all his previous blockbusters this one also stands out as one of his best.

All the best Bunny you did it again!!!. And yes! you are the star of Style.

Desamuduru - Music Review

Desamuduru - A good combination of mass numbers

Allu Arjun, is the one young hero, who has a meticulous planning in accepting the stories. Almost all his films right from 'Gangotri' are either hits or above average films. He did never face flop talk for any of his films. He has good choice of stories and never fixed himself in a particular image. His latest film 'Desamuduru' has Puri Jagannath as director, who rewrote the 75-year-old Telugu film industry's history with 'Pokiri'. At the same time, Chakri also has a clean track record of giving continuous successes. With the combination working together, the film would be a definite hit. The director has a good taste for music and the hero has good dancing skills. Keeping all these point in view, Chakri gave melodious tunes to all the songs. While many of the songs has mass beat, there are a couple of melodies too.

Ninne… Ninne… Singers: Chakri, Kausalya

Music director Chakri himself rendered the song in a husky voice. In fact, the song had got the sufficient rhythm only because it came from him. The song was tuned in folk style with a little mix of western beta. However, the song runs a little scope, possible with an eye to give the hero some scope to show his dancing skills. The drumbeat in the song is worth foot-tapping while the use of keyboard gave the necessary interludes. Kausayla's humming in the beginning is worth listening.

Gili..Giligaa.. Gil Gillinthagaaa.. Singers: Devan, Andria

This number begins with a western hum and the pallavi joins in Telugu. Though it was tuned in an old commercial formula, the twists and movement in the song are a little novel, despite the listener get a feel of listening to a commercial formula film song. The use of bass guitar is worth listening. However, the western humming before the second stanza gave a damn fresh look to the song.

Satte… Singer: Ranjit

The song's tune begins on the lines of 'Dil Se….' of Bollywood song. But soon it turns it to a novel tune. The song is also has a commercial twist with rich music for foot tapping and also gives good scope for dance movement. The lyric also has good literary value as well and filled with good philosophy. Those who listen to the song will also get a good mood to dance to the tune.

Gola… Singers: Raghu Kunche, Kausalya

This number is a typical Chakri number. Generally one of the songs in the film that has music from Chakri will have this kind of tune. It seems this is a group song kind of tune. Kausalya's husky voice, which was in sync with Raghu's voice. The lyric has a humming with the Himachal Pradesh's folk tune. The song has rich voice of drums and has a good scope for mass dance and would definitely attract the front benchers to dance together to the tune.

Manasuley… Singers: Chakri,. Kausalya

Again Chakri joined Kausalya to render this song. This is a melody number with a light mix of fast beat. Kausalya's interludes in a husky voice gave a good boost to the number. After the first stanza the song gets picks up the momentum, with the continued melody. The use of drums, key board and guitar brought richness to the song. Kausalya's voice is very sweet in the song and the song will be good if listened more than once.

Attantode… Singers: Ravivarma, Kausalya

This number is another mass number. Moreover, this is the title song and hence Chakri used different musical instruments to give it a rich look. Shehnoy, guitar, drums and jazz drums, traditional dappu kind of music were freely used. After the first stanza, guitar, violin and clarinet further boosted the kick in the song. As a whole, the song has good scope for music. At the end of the song, the use of typical drum beat gives a lot of scope for dance.

Desamuduru - Review

Desamuduru - Allu Arjun is now a macho man

Unlike other young heroes, Allu Arjun has a clean track record. He is giving successive hits right from his debut. Especially, he is very careful in selecting subjects and is not limiting himself to a particular image. He is also not in a hurry to do films and is doing only one film at a time to concentrate on the character.

He had the ability to shake his legs with much élan and ease. Now he toned up his body to suit the macho man image for his latest flick 'Desamuduru'. Puri Jagannath who rewrote the history with his last film 'Pokiri' maintained his style again and proved that he is on a winning streak and ensured the film to achieve hit talk right from the first show.

Bala (Allu Arjun) is a programme director in MAA TV. He works in crime division and once he goes to Dhoolpet to shoot the illicit breweries. In the process, he bashes Murugan (Subbaraju), son of a notorious arrack smuggler Tambi Durai (Pradeep Rawat).

To save him from getting killed by Tambi Durai, the channel staff sends Bala to Kulu Manali, where Bala meets a sanyasin called Vaishali (Haansika). Bala loses Vaishali at first sight and finally succeeds in winning her love. By the time Bala wanted to take Vaishali to Hyderabad, she gets kidnapped by some goons.

Bala returns to Hyderabad and comes to know that Vaishali is with Tambi Durai and also learnt that Vaishali is the daughter of one Narayana Patwari and Tambi Durai kills Patwari and his wife to grab his property. However, Vaishali escapes and reaches Kulu Manali and joins an ashram and turns a sanyasin. Bala finally saves Vaishali from Tambi Durai's clutches and ensure his arrest by the police with the help of MAA TV crew.

Allu Arjun's performance is excellent all through the film. He showed good ease in dances as well as in action scenes. He built his body and did a lot of exercise to get a macho man image. He flexed his muscles in action scenes and they were perfectly captured by cinematographer Shyam K Naidu.

Three songs were shot on him, while there are two duets and one item song. There was a huge applause for his dances and action scenes. Chakri gave mass tunes for the flick and all of them were good to listen and were also choreographed nicely.

Haansika looked glamorous and has fresh look for the audiences. Though she has nothing much to perform, her glamour remains a plus point for the film. Puri Jagannath once again proved that he has good comedy timing and the comedy tracks that run on Ali and Kovai Sarala are hilarious.

The film is worth watching for its songs and action scenes. Rambha's item song before climax is also nice. Pradeep Rawat and Subbaraju did justice to their roles.

Cast: Allu Arjun, Haansika, Pradeep Rawat, Subbaraju, Jeeva, GV, Chandramohan, Ali, Venumadhav, Ahuti Prasad, Melkote, Raghubabu, Uttej, Satyam Rajesh, Srinivasa Reddy, Narsing Yadav, Sony Raj, Telangana Sakuntala, Ramaprabha, Kovai Sarala, Sudha, Hema and others.

Desamuduru - Power-packed

Allu Arjun, among the young crop heroes, is highly charged and you can bank on him to deliver a powerful performance every time on screen. His previous movies have all been hits (and some of them have been actually trend-setters).

So Desa Muduru, backed by the common sense direction of Puri Jagannath, will release amidst unprecedented hope.

Allu Arjun who enjoys dances and fights, has got the right fodder in the carefully calibrated script. The story revolves around him and he plays an investigative journalist and is part of a television network. Such a character has all the scope to show both brawn and brain power.

The entire unit has been talking about the commitment of Allu Arjun and say that he has thoroughly excelled in the author-backed character. He will make his illustrious father (Allu Aravind) proud, said one industry hand.

Heroine Hansika Motwani comes to Telugu with high expectations. The cute damsel was not long ago a child artiste.

Comedians Srinivasa Reddy, Rejesh, Rajani and Sony are also in the cast.

The director says the film will be an interesting mix of love, action and comedy. The combination is what the youth audience wants.

The music of Chakri is also very trendy and will have Allu Arjun’s fans jiving in joy. Songs like 'Nuvve Nuvve…', 'Satti Satti…' and 'Gili Giligaa…' are rocking the town.

Presented by J. Bhagawan and produced by DVV Danayya, Desa Muduru has camera by Shyam K. Naidu, action by Vijayan, music by Chakri and editing by Marthand K. Venkatesh.

The producers have left nothing to chance and have given the film all the right backing. Production standards are of high standard.

The film has been shot in places like Manali.

Desa Muduru will be among the high-profile releases this January.
